Snow on Rokkosan!

Snow on Rokkosan!

It has not been especially cold this year on Rokkosan, but we have had a few nice snow days that painted the mountain white. It really is wonderful to walk in fresh snow while the area around is being slowly painted white. There is something about walking in snow that warms the heart.

On the paths by the Kobe Golf Course, the winds blowing across the greens create snow banks that look like cresting waves. Truly beautiful!

With the mountain temperature being 6c to 10c degrees colder then down in the city, on days when it is chilly and raining in Sannomiya it is often snowing on Rokkosan.

Remember to dress warm and have proper shoes, boots are suggested, for walking in the snow on Rokkosan.

Often there is a “last” snow in March and the The Rokko Snow Park is open until the end of March.

So look to the mountains, and when they look white, come up and enjoy the wonderful winter wonderland! See you on Rokkosan!
