🎅 Forest Sound Wonder Christmas 2025

From November 25 to December 25, 2025, the Rokko Forest Sound Museum invites you to a warm, enchanting Christmas event that brings German holiday tradition to the mountain.

 

Inside the museum and garden:

• 🌲 Classic Christmas tree displays and European‑style ornaments brighten the space
• 🎶 Self‑playing musical instruments fill the air with carols and seasonal melodies
• 🛍️ A Christmas market (marche) offers unique gifts, ornaments, and traditional crafts
• ☕ Enjoy seasonal treats at the attached café, including Christmas‑inspired menus
• 🕯️ Candle and wax sachet workshops are held on select Sundays, perfect for making gifts or keepsakes 

 

This is a great daytime activity with kids, friends, or a special someone. Warm lights, music, and holiday cheer create a cozy winter atmosphere high above the city.

🎁 Christmas Dinners & Festive Evenings

 

In previous years, Rokkosan hosted special Christmas dinners at scenic locations on Dec 23 to 25, combining winter views with festive menus and romantic nightscapes of Kobe below. While specific menus vary each year, Rokkosan views and holiday vibes are at their best during this week. 

🌉 Panoramic Views & New Year’s Sunrise

 

Rokkosan is renowned for its crystal‑clear winter air and breathtaking views. During New Year’s Day (January 1), several special early services are offered:

 

• 🚠 Rokko Cable Car Early Service, catch the first sunrise of the year from around 6:00 AM as the cable runs early from Rokko Cable Shita Station.
• 🌅 Tenrandai Observation Deck opens early so you can witness the beautiful first sunrise of 2026.
• 🍽️ Rokko Garden Terrace also opens for special early access, perfect for a tranquil start to the year. 

 

Watching the sunrise from the mountain’s summit is a powerful way to begin a fresh chapter, surrounded by wide skies and sparkling city lights fading behind you.
