The Second Rokkosan Collection Exhibition

Starting again from Mountain Day, June 3rd and going until August 13th at the Hyogo Prefectural Mt. Rokko Nature Conservation Center just above the Mt. Rokko Guide House.

The theme this time is “The development of Mt. Rokko (part II): development race between Hanshin and Hankyu in the early Showa Era” and the pictures, and explanations detail the rivalry between the to large transportation companies and how they developed tourism on Rokkosan. Brochures, advertisements, videos and other materials from this era show how each tried to gain market share over the other.

Panels from the first Exhibition “The development of Mt. Rokko started like this: exploring Mt. Rokko back in the Meiji and Taisho Eras” are also on display.
